Meet The W.N.Y Family
Why Not You Records a.k.a "W.N.Y Records" is an Independent Music Recording Label. The label currently focuses on Hip-Hop, Rap, & R&B. The company was co-founded by DJ Ceasel, and JoSanti, with the idea that anyone with the skills, knowledge and drive can succeed in this business! That's why our motto is "Why Not You?"
Founded in 2020 during the midst of a global pandemic, W.N.Y Record's goal is to promote local musical talent, while expressing ourselves artistically.
Co-founder DJ Ceasel has been a musician since 2000, playing instruments like the drums, bass guitar, piano and more in his local church. He later on went to perform in his High School Band and Latin Jazz Group as a trombone player and drummer. He has performed in venues such as the world famous "Shea's Performing Arts Theater" and the "Buffalo Philharmonic". This led to his idea to start making beats, and ultimately produce music.
Co-founder and artist "JoSanti", the son of a famous female break-dancer out of NYC, has been a part of the underground music scene since his youth. Being a dancer himself, Josanti has had an opportunity to perform with numerous dance groups, as well as be a part of a Rap group out of Buffalo, NY.
The idea to create a label that truly wants to promote great talent, both locally and abroad, is why our Recording Contracts are flexible and attractive.
"Why Not You Records" will be an example and staple of Independent Music. We may be a start up, but this is the start of great change for the music industry.
